New Regulations as of June 1, 2014(변경 규정)

Applicants must show that they intend to pursue studies in Canada when applying for a study permit

학생비자는 공부할 의사만 있으면 신청이 가능 함 

Applicant must enrol in and continue to pursue studies in Canada. Failure to do so could lead to removal from Canada.

학생비자는 반드시 등록이 이루어져야만 신청이 가능함

Applicants may apply for a study for a study permit to pursue studies at any educational institute in Canada.

학생비자는 어떤 학교에서 공부해도 신청이 가능함

Study permits will only be issued to successful applicants who are pursuing at studies at an educational institute that has been designated to receive international students.

학생비자는 지정된 학교에서 공부할 경우만 발급이 가능함

Study permit holders pursuing studies at publicly-funded post secondary institutions must apply for an Off-campus Work Permit to be able to work up to 20 hours per week off-campus during the academic session and full-time during scheduled breaks.

공립학교에 다니는 학생비자 소지자의 경우 Off-campus work permit 을 신청해야만 주 20시간까지 일을 할 수 있음

Study permits will automatically authorize the holder to work off-campus for up to 20 hours per week during the academic session and full-time during scheduled breaks without the need to apply for a separate work permit. The study permit holder must be pursuing academic, vocational or professional training for six months or more that leads to a degree, diploma or certificate at a designated institute.

지정된 학교에서 6개월 이상 학위, 디플로마 등의 과정을 공부할 경우 따로 off-campus work permit 신청 없이 주 20시간까지 일을 할 수 있음

Any international student can apply for a Co-op Work permit if a co-op placement is an integral element of their course of study

누구나 학업의 일부로 Co-op work permit 을 신청할 수 있음

Only international students who are pursuing studies at a secondary school or at a designated institution may apply for Co-op Work permit if a co-op placement is an integral part of their course of study.

오직 지정된 학교에서만 학업의 일부로 Co-op work permit 을 신청할 수 있음

Visitors may not apply for a study permit from within Canada

방문비자의 경우 캐나다 내에서 학생비자 신청이 불가능함

Visitors may apply for a study permit from withi n Canada if they are at the pre-school, primary or secondary level, are on an academic exchange or a visiting student at a designated learning institute, or have completed a course or program of study that is a condition for acceptance at a designated learning institute.

방문비자의 경우도 지정된 학교에서 공부할 경우 캐나다 내에서 학생비자 신청이 가능함

International students who have completed their studies but hold valid study permits can remain legally in Canada until the expiration of their study permit.

학생비자 소지자의 경우 학업이 끝난 후에도 비자유효기간이 남아있으면 법적으로 캐나다 체류가 가능함

A study permit becomes invalid 90 days following the completion of studies unless the foreign national also possesses a valid work permit or another authorization to remain in Canada.

학생비자의 경우 학업이 끝난 90일 이후로는 유효하지 않음

Study permit holders are not authored to work after the completion of their studies while awaiting approval of their Post-Graduation Work Permit

학생비자 소지자의 경우 Post-graduation work permit 승인이 나길 기다릴 때 까지 일을 해서는 안됨

Eligible international graduates will be authorized to work full-time after their studies are completed until a decision is made on their application for Post-Graduation work permit.

졸업이 확정된 경우 Post-graduation work permit 신청 결과가 나올 때 까지Full-time 으로 일하는 것이 가능함
