4/7 International Pillow Fight Day at Vancouver Art Gallery

    Cities from around the world celebrate International Pillow Fight Day on the first Saturday in April each year.

In 2018 the Vancouver Pillow Fight takes place on Saturday, April 7th, in the south plaza of the Vancouver Art Gallery which is located in the 800 block of Robson Street by Howe Street in downtown Vancouver. The event starts at 3 pm sharp and lasts for less than 30 minutes.

Every Tuesday Cheap Movie Night

    Movie specials are always happening. Tuesdays are cheap days almost everywhere.

4/11 Abbotsford Tulip Festival

    The Abbotsford Tulip Festival is at a farm with thousands of tulips spread over a 10-acre area. The Tulip Festival is really just a nice spot to go for a short stroll and to see gazillions of gorgeous tulips – provided you don’t go before they really start to bloom. It’s a fabulous place to take photos, walk around and buy fresh flowers.

4/14, 15 Sakura Days Japan Fair
    

    In 2018 the Sakura Days Japan Fair occurs on Saturday, April 14, from 11 am to 7 pm, and on Sunday, April 15, from 11 am to 5 pm.

At the event there is traditional Japanese music, Japanese anime fans dressed in costume, flower arranging, flute making and calligraphy workshops, plus lots of traditional Japanese fair food including okonomiyaki (a kind of savory cabbage pancake), takoyaki (fried octopus in dough) and other tasty treats.

4/22 Vancouver Sun Run

    The Vancouver Sun Run really is for everyone. There are world-class athletes competing, but also seniors, children and thousands of recreational runners. Some people even walk a chunk of the way, and there’s even a race for folk in wheelchairs. Along the route are also thousands of cheering friends, supporters and other spectators.

If you aren’t a runner yourself, go anyway and cheer on your running friends, or all the thousands of people you don’t know. Along the route are bands playing music, so the whole route has a festive atmosphere.
