10 월 7일 Ocean Beach Oktoberfest

The 13th annual Ocean Beach Oktoberfest. Festivities kick off Friday at noon with the Oktoberstretch yoga festival, beer garden, live music, and games. The fun picks back up Saturday morning with the OB Brot Trot and DI workout, followed by a German microbrew tasting benefiting the Warrior Foundation Freedom Station, live music, and the annual competitions including the Sausage Toss Competition for a cash prize, bratwurst-eating contest, stein-holding contest, and more. Saturday will also include a free beachside all-ages stage with performances by an OB Oktoberfest band, along with a food and craft vendor area on the Veterans Plaza lawn.

10월 8일  San Diego International Film Festival

The San Diego International Film Festival is the region’s premier film event and one of the leading stops on the independent festival circuit. SDIFF offers a unique film experience including world premieres, never-before-seen studio releases, independent filmmaking, and a full schedule of glamorous parties and intimate events with filmmakers.

Two festival villages: Downtown San Diego and La Jolla Festival Headquarters (550 J Street).

Screenings: ArcLight La Jolla, Regal Cinema Gaslamp.

Special Events: Pendry San Diego, The Balboa Theater, Horton Plaza Park.

10월 21일  GI Film Festival

KPBS is proud to present the 2017 GI Film Festival San Diego, Oct. 18 – 22. The event brings the stories of America’s military to life through film. This year’s line-up includes eight West Coast premieres, filmmaker appearances, and panel discussions.

10월 28일  NACAC Performing and Visual Arts College Fair

College-bound students interested in music, dance, theater, visual arts, graphic design and other related disciplines are invited to learn more about undergraduate and graduate degrees offered in their areas of interest at the National Association for College Admission Counseling's (NACAC) San Diego Performing and Visual Arts College Fair. Students can meet one-on-one with representatives from 100 schools and universities including the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, UCLA School of Theater and Television, and University of California, San Diego to learn about financial aid, admission requirements, and other issues. Registration recommended.
