캘리포니아 남부에서 볼 수 있는 꽃, 식물을 선명하고 다채롭게 표현하는 미술 작가 Leseley Goren의 전시회에 놀러오세요. 이 작가의 아름다운 작품을 감상하다보면 자연의 소중함을 느끼게 될거에요.
On view is an exhibition by Los Angeles-based artist and illustrator Lesley Goren, whose lively and colorful images of plants and flowers are a self-described “love note” to the native vegetation of Southern California. The works in California Tapestry include cheerful drawings of Scarlet Monkey Flowers (Mimulus cardinales), Shooting Stars (Primula clevelandii), and Yellow Mariposa Lilies (Calochortus luteus) that serve as beautiful reminders of the importance of nature and place.

Learn how to hand letter your favorite quote or phrase on a chalkboard surface in a simple, attractive way. Get tips on layout design, fonts and embellishments. Students will design and create a hand lettered chalkboard to take home.

San Diego’s main reason for pop cultural relevance celebrates its 50th anniversary this year from July 18-21 at the Convention Center. Although it’s sold out, many cheapskates have a blast just taking in the fun on 5th Avenue from Market to Harbor Drive. Traditionally, local businesses have started holding free events at various places downtown after the Con shuts down for the evening. The complete schedule is still being worked out, but it’s safe to expect a lot of things dealing with Star Wars, as the final chapter of the movie saga debuts in theaters later this year.
