약 250에이커에 이르는 캠퍼스는 매사추세츠 주 서쪽에 위치한 역사적인 개척자의 마을, 디어필드에 자리잡고 있다. 보스턴으로부터 1시간 40분, 코네티컷주 하트포드로부터 1시간 10분 가량 떨어져있으며 반경 20분 거리에 Amherst, Smith, Mount Holyoke, Hampshire College와 University of Massachusetts 등 유수한 대학들이 자리하고 있어 풍부한 문화적 지적 요소를 제공해 주고 있다.

또한 영어, 미술, 역사, 경제, 수학, 어학, 컴퓨터공학과 과학 등이 AP과목으로 지정되어 있는데 지원자의 85%가 3등급 이상을 받은 것으로 알려져 있다. 원하는 경우 프랑스와 스페인에서 행하는 교환학생 프로그램에 참가할 기회도 주어지며 학급당 학생수는 14명 이하, 교사와 학생비는 1:6정도이다. AP나 Honor, accelerated course수강은 수업 준비성, 능력 그리고 흥미의 정도를 기준으로 정하여진다. 11주씩 3학기제로 운영되고 각 학기 중간과 학기말에 성적이 발송된다

Founded in 1797, Deerfield is known for its high academic standards and cohesive school spirit. Students challenge themselves through a program combining demanding academics with varied athletic and extracurricular offerings. The 280-acre campus provides extraordinary facilities including an art center; a science center; a 85,000-volume library; and a computer center. Students, 34% supported by over $4.6 million in financial aid, are selected on the basis of academic promise, leadership potential, diversity of background, and willingness to contribute to the school community.

미국 매사추세츠 주 중서부 프랭클린 군의 읍. 코네티컷 강과 디어필드 강을 끼고 있으며 노샘프턴 북쪽 26㎞ 지점. 낙농업지역 안에 있습니다. 이 지역에 사는 사슴들 때문에 디어필드라는 이름이 붙었습니다.
