This year, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra performs Gustav Holsts stunning orchestral suite The Planets, an astrological journey through the solar system that takes audiences from fiery Mars to lonesome Neptune. (Sorry Pluto.)

The interstellar entertainment will be interspersed with readings by Bell Shakespeares John Bell and capped off with one of the finest fireworks displays in the galaxy.

Best of all, Symphony in The Domain is free.
