Corin Raymond and the Sundowners

Local roots rocker Corin Raymond and his band the Sundowners return to the Tranzac to mark the one-year anniversary of the sold out concerts at which they recorded a live double album of Canadian folk songs.

It was an unusual project because Raymond funded the double-CD with a campaign asking for everyone`s Canadian Tire money (Toronto`s Rogue Studios accepts Canadian Tire cash). (According to Raymond`s website, the current total is $5,824.30).

The new double album Paper Nickels, which will come with a book about the project, is due out March 12.

Special guests are Kim Beggs (January 22) and Wax Mannequin (January 23).
